Veterans Park Car Show to benefit Veterans Memorial in Pendleton SC

"Friends of the Park" is a group of citizens dedicated to making our Veterans Park the best it can be and they are so excited about their latest project:  A Veterans Memorial
This Veterans Memorial has been a dream of this group for about 9 years and finally it is going to become a reality.  It will be dedicated on November 11, 2014 Veterans Day at the park.
These volunteers have been busy raising the necessary funds by selling engraved pavers and now will host a Car Show on Sept. 13 at Veterans Park.
Pompous Pig will sell their delicious BBQ and Hot Dogs, Hevy Mann will have Funnel Cakes, Lemonade and Root beer, Candied Apples, Cotton Candy and Boiled Peanuts.  The American Legion Auxiliary will have a Bake Sale and everyone knows what great cooks they are.  There will be music and also inflatables for the kids.  It will be a great day at the park so bring your chair and join the fun!

We sure have had fun at Dyar's every Saturday in August and appreciate them donating 70% to our Veterans Memorial.  Come on out to Dyar's from 7 to 1 and enjoy seeing Mr. Earl Dyar dressed as Uncle Sam and lots of people you probably know.  It has been like old home week each Saturday and such fun!
