Spring Jubilee 09 will be the 32nd Annual Spring Jubilee in Historic Pendleton South Carolina. It is a Juried Arts and Crafts Festival sponsored by Pendleton District Commission and is always held the first full weekend in April.
Not only will there be exhibits by top quality Artisans, there will be entertainment and great food and all in a beautiful setting. Pendleton is a small historic town nestled in the foothills of South Carolina. The festival takes place on the Village Green on the town square.
There will be artisans in the following categories: Art, Baskets, Carving, Glass, Jewelry, Metal, Photo, Pottery, Sewing, Specialty Crafts, Toys, and Woodcraft. These artisans were chosen for the coveted spaces on the Village Green because of their high quality and I am most anxious to visit each and everyone of them.
Spring Jubilee is a special time for our little town of Pendleton as we get to show off our town to some 20,000 visitors. We offer some wonderful restaurants, specialty shops and antiques all within a walking distance from the festival.
Jo McConnell, Event Coordinator, says
"Come and join us in celebrating the 32nd Annual Historic Pendleton Spring Jubilee, a weekend highlighting quality arts and crafts, antiques, a variety of musical entertainment, good food and fun for all. Make plans to be part of the seasonal opening of the Pendleton District Agricultural Museum and Ashtabula and Woodburn Plantations. Choose to take part in the bicycle rides or visit the unique shops and restaurants."Spring Jubilee will be April 4 and 5 this year. Saturday's activities will begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue until 6:00 pm but it won't end there. Tri County Tech is having
Bluegrass Under The Stars with free fireworks and free admission beginning at 6 pm at the Campus Amphitheater.
I don't know about you but I can't wait to bite into my once a year
Funnel Cake and enjoy the festivities in Pendleton.

This looks great! I did subscribe, but the only option was an RSS, not e-mail.
ReplyDeleteTerrific blog about the Pendleton Spring Jubilee. Being a crafter myself, I'm so looking forward to seeing the wonderful work of these many talented artisans. The food and entertain will be an added bonus.
